"Having a family service adventure is something we have always thought would be amazing...Giving Hope is the answer to our prayers--we wanted a volunteer organization where we could truly make a difference, one that was also willing to put our entire family to work for a year. We trust that our time in Guatemala will be an incredible experience that will forever change the course of our lives. We love how serving in the orphanage will involve our entire family, and we are excited to get busy!"

“As I grew to love the children, I also learned more about their individual stories. The knowledge of the horrible things they had been through made me even more impressed with their resilience, their joy, and their anticipation of a better tomorrow. Niños de Guatemala stepped in to take care of these wonderful souls when no one else would. The staff and management have big hearts and are anxiously engaged in creating a better future for the many children in need in Guatemala. Their unique model of working to reunite families is revolutionary in a system that seems complacent to raise children in large institutional settings... I recommend volunteering with these amazing children to anyone; you will give a lot, but you will get back more than you ever imagined.”

“My experience with the orphanage was amazing! The kids are adorable. Our group had the opportunity to build a chicken coop that held over 50 chickens. We spent all the time we could with the children and babies. What a life changing, heart touching experience it was to be with such beautiful Children. I plan to go back in the near future and will always support the Orphanage.”

"Every single day I think about my time there and my beautiful little brothers and sisters. In many ways, I wish I could still be there helping them. The only thing that comforts me is that I know they are being cared for and I know that these children have plenty of love for life and desire to good things-and they will do great things! My dream is to meet each of them again. I wish I could adequately express my gratitude for them. I can't begin to describe the impact the experience had on me!"

"I think everyone needs to go on a trip like this once in ther lives. Giving helps you realize the compassion that you have in your heart. It helps you break down barriers. It makes you question what is truly important. Being surrounded by smiling kids with a group of awesome people every day in a place that looks pretty close to paradise? What could be better? The best part is if you take what you learned and use it to make changes in your life for the better."

"My time in Guatemala was a life-changing experience. It was amazing waking up each morning knowing that day I would have a positive impact on a child's life. Whether it was painting walls, building roads, playing with orphans or hanging out with the local kids, every day I was able to help make the world a better place. The selfless love shown by the directors and their extended family is not only inspiring but infectious; the Giving Hope Society makes it easy to give a little bit of yourself."

"My experience was exausting, hard, emotionally painful, and pulled all my weaknesses up to the surface...but these are the things that taught me the lessons I needed to learn. But because I experienced such strong, mostly emotinally draining trails during this trip, I also had such joy filled moments with blissful, laughing, children. I also grew close to my group members and enjoyed falling to sleep exhausted each night knowing that it had been a fulfilling day."
